Three Gift Ideas for Your Favorite Dog

Pet Stop • Dec 19, 2012

As you rush around getting your holiday gifts, are you stumped by what to get your dog this winter? Maybe you always get their favorite rawhide or bone or squeaky toy, but if you’re in need of a new or additional idea, we have a few that will get the ball rolling in the right direction!

Electric pet fence packages Okay, so your dog might not know to appreciate this, but it’s a gift that you will be glad you put under the tree. In a season when dogs get lost more frequently than any other time, it will give you some peace of mind when your dog is in your yard. Keeping your dog safe is priority number one, and an electric dog fence is a great step for you and your dog.

Smart dog toys. There are toys now that go far beyond the classic squeaky ball or knotted rope. Though one can hardly argue with their classic entertainment value, if you’re looking for something new for your pup, search for some of the more unique toys.

There are dog toys on the market now that include puzzles for them to solve, plushes for chewing that look like everything from their favorite bone to your favorite candy, and even toys that talk back.

Adjustable height dog bowls. These have been gaining popularity in recent years, and with good reason. Dog bowls that can be purchased or adjusted to match the height of your dog can ease digestion, allowing them to eat at a height that is more consistent with their anatomy, and a dog with a happy stomach is a good present for everyone in the family!

Whatever you give your pet this holiday, remember the most important things you can give them are safety, a bit of discipline, and a lot of love!
